Revealing and developing this 8-acre, 120-year-old garden began with research into ‘Withycombe’s’ location in the Blue Mountains National Park, its position as one of the gracious, exotic gardens of Mount Wilson, and its own personality. Elements of the old garden were preserved and re-invigorated, and melded with development of new areas and features (a tree-planting program, development of play areas, opening of vistas, creation of orchard and vegetable gardens and new walks and borders). We created a Master Plan which guides all work undertaken now. Watching this beautiful, old garden come alive and regain its vigour and glory is a great joy.
